The Center of Excellence for Protected Health Information (CoE-PHI) will facilitate a free national webinar outlining the current state of the federal privacy protections for substance use disorder (SUD) treatment records, 42 CFR Part 2 and the HIPAA Privacy Rule.
Webinar Objectives:
• Describe the current state of the law for SUD privacy protections (42 CFR Part 2 and HIPAA)
• Outline forthcoming changes to 42 CFR Part 2 (through the CARES Act)
• Identify how to access resources and technical assistance through the CoE-PHI
Who Should Attend?
SUD and Mental Health treatment providers, clients, administrators, state agency leaders, and others involved in providing SUD treatment or coordinating care for SUD treatment.
