The 42 CFR Part 2 Final Rule- What State Agency Leaders Need to Know to Support Implementation

This event is by invitation only through NASADAD.

The CoE-PHI and NASADAD will host a virtual training during which we’ll outline recent changes to Part 2, the federal law that protects the confidentiality of substance use treatment records.

During this virtual training we’ll also apply learning to common scenarios through interactive case studies, and discuss next steps regarding implementation of recent changes to the law for State Agency leaders.

Objectives

• Understand recent changes to 42 CFR Part 2 (“Part 2”)
• Recognize how to apply recent changes through case study examples representing common scenarios
• Define practical steps for implementing recent changes to Part 2 by State Agency leaders
• Identify how to access resources and technical assistance through the CoE-PHI

State substance use agency leaders, including Treatment Coordinators, Women’s Service Coordinators, and SSA Directors.
