This video will focus on identified substance use disorder (SUD) personnel within a general medical facility, and when they must follow the federal privacy protections for SUD treatment information, known as 42 CFR Part 2.
Examples of identified SUD personnel within a general medical facility include DATA-2000 waivered physicians in a hospital or Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) who prescribe buprenorphine and whose primary function is providing SUD treatment.
