Video: Are you a Part 2 Program? Guidance for SUD Providers Outside a General Medical Facility
Program Type 1
This video will focus on substance use disorder (SUD) treatment providers who work in community-based substance use disorder treatment programs outside hospitals or other general medical facilities. It will explain when these providers must follow the federal privacy protections for substance use disorder treatment information, known as 42 CFR Part 2.
Examples of providers outside a general medical facility may include Opioid Treament Programs (OTPs), community-based outpatient SUD treatment programs, and residential SUD treatment programs.
